Learner privacy comes first
PulsePoint EQ Connection Polls is designed so that learners can answer honestly without ever being identified. We collect no learner data. No names, no email addresses, no IP addresses, no device identifiers, no demographic information of any kind. Learners never create an account and never sign in. A learner response is stored only as an anonymous answer choice attached to a poll session.
What a session record contains
When you run a poll, we store the poll pack you chose, the session's status and timestamps, and the anonymous answer counts for each question. That record is linked to your instructor account so you can open your own results and debrief. It is not linked to any learner, and there is no way for us or for you to trace an answer back to an individual.
What we collect from instructors
We collect your email address, which is required to sign in and to identify your account. Sign-in works by emailing you a one-time numeric code; there is no password. You may optionally give us a first name, which we store with your account and use only to greet you in the app and to personalize email. You can change or remove it at any time from your dashboard.
Email we send you
We use a third-party email provider (Kit) to send account and product email. When you start a free account or buy a pass, your email address and first name, if you have given one, are sent to that provider so we can send purchase confirmations and product updates. When you create an account, redeem a complimentary pass, or purchase access, you agree to receive essential account notifications as well as PulsePoint Notes, our periodic newsletter with nursing education insights, resources, and updates. You may opt out of non-essential newsletter emails at any time using the unsubscribe link included in every email. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing does not affect your access to the tool, and we do not sell or rent your email address to anyone.
Payments
Purchases are processed by Stripe. Payment details are entered on Stripe's own checkout page and go directly to Stripe. We never see, receive, or store your card number. From a completed purchase we record only what is needed to grant and price access: the pass you bought, the amount paid, the purchase identifiers Stripe returns, and your account email. A complimentary claim is recorded the same way, with an amount of zero.
Cookies and tracking
We do not use advertising trackers, behavioral analytics, or cross-site cookies. Signing in stores a session token in your browser so you stay signed in; that storage is strictly necessary for the tool to work. Anonymous, aggregate usage information may be reviewed to keep the service running reliably.
How long we keep things
We keep your instructor account, your first name if given, and your session records for as long as your account is active. Email us at any time to have your account and all of its sessions deleted. Deletion is permanent and removes your saved sessions and results along with the account.
